Craig Jones - Director

Craig Jones - Director

Craig is the founder and director of Tide House. He began his career in business before moving into the charity sector, where he was asked to help develop a Supported Housing service for people experiencing challenges related to substance use, mental health, and complex social circumstances.

As he progressed to managing that charity, it became clear that there was a need among many of the people being supported; many were finding it difficult to maintain safe and stable relationships with their children. This highlighted a gap for a service that could assess parenting capacity in a structured, professional, and trauma‑informed way.

When the charity lost Local Authority funding in 2011 and subsequently closed, the need for such a service remained clear. Craig continued to develop the concept for a centre that would combine high‑quality assessment practice with a clear focus on children’s safety and wellbeing.

After three years of planning and development, Tide House was established. The service was designed to deliver robust, evidence‑based family assessments within a supportive and professional environment, ensuring that the needs of children are consistently prioritised.
