For Professionals

What we offer

Tide House is an Ofsted registered Residential Family Assessment Centre (URN SC479919) providing high quality, evidence based parenting assessments for families referred by Local Authorities and the Family Courts. We offer a therapeutic, child centred residential environment where parents are supported, observed and assessed by skilled practitioners using nationally recognised models and tools.

Our work is grounded in professional empathy, dignity, respect, fairness and a commitment to safeguarding as our highest priority. As part of Inclusis, a private limited company specialising in residential family assessment services, our purpose is to deliver robust and fair assessments that prioritise children’s safety and wellbeing, provide a structured environment for parents to demonstrate their capacity to care safely, and offer high quality support and guidance to help parents progress wherever possible.

Referrals

We accept referrals from Local Authorities, Cafcass Guardians and solicitors representing parents within the pre-proceedings process or Care Proceedings.

All referrals must be made in writing to referrals@inclusis.com

Due to the high volume of enquiries we receive, we cannot complete full written viability assessments for every referral made.

Who can we assess?

We accept referrals for one, two or three parents/carers and up to four children aged from birth to 10. We accept families presenting with a wide range of complex needs, including mental health difficulties, substance or alcohol misuse, learning disabilities, domestic abuse, trauma histories, relationship challenges and other vulnerabilities.

While we aim to be flexible and inclusive, we cannot accept parents under the age of 16. We are unable to accommodate individuals with significantly impaired mobility due to the building layout. We cannot offer a placement to those presenting an unassessed risk of sexual offending. Where allegations are unresolved, placement decisions are made on a case by case basis following a thorough viability and risk assessment.

If you are unsure about the suitability of a placement at Tide House for a family you are working with then please contact us to discuss a viability assessment.
